GPL - "brain" - software

Hello, I've come across a GPLed "brain" software that I think may be useful for
most educators and students of all ages.

It's kinda hard to describe what this type of program does.... It's a database
program, but it allows you to store your data and organize it the way _your_
mind works, with associations and/or links between ideas (or two sets of datum.)

Some people call these programs "Outliner Thinking Tools." They kinda facilitate
the process of connecting two or more seemingly un-related ideas or thoughts and
hopefully making more "uh-huh! moments" possible.

The URL for the program is at: http://synapse.netpedia.net/

Do check it out.

Disclaimer: I am in no way related to any of these
programs, except that I am a user of
			some of these "brain tools".

The "sysnapse" program is the first
			GPLed one I've come across.

PS. To get a feel of what this type of programs work,
you can go and download a trial-version of a
		COMMERCIAL software, "The Brain", from
http://www.thebrain.com and see how it works.

		The program at http://synapse.netpedia.net,
according to the author, is similar to
"The Brain", although it's currently available on
the PalmPilot platform only. But you can download
the source to see how it works though.

PPS. If you have additional question, please contact
the author Ben Darnell at bgdarnel@unity.ncsu.edu

PPPS.	If you come across any other GPLed "brain tools"
program, please let me know. Thanks.
