Sun offers training for StarOffice 5.2 and 5.1. Some courses are web based, and of these some are free, others cost - $40.00 ~ $250.00 (for a training "bundle"). I did not read all of the info in detail, but I seem to remember that Sun has a certification after finishing the required courses. I will try to verify this.

Based on the info at the OpenOffice website, they do not offer any training or certification.
