I'll be starting the MINT program in June. I have already secured a
position teaching CS, which goes to show you how great a demand there is
for teachers, so you may be able to start teaching without formal
certification (so long as you pass the MTEL exams). Check out the
Department of Education site for MINT:

http://www.doe.mass.edu/educators/e_license.html regarding license
requirements.
Passing the MTEL is a prerequisite to applying to MINT. You can read about
MTEL at http://www.doe.mass.edu/mtel/
