wordprocessor for kids

This is my last message for the evening.  Bill mentioned something along
these lines, I think.  we need a word processor for kids that allows them to
create simple pictures and then to write down stories about them.  I'm
tihinking about a program called KidWriter that I remember from quite a while
 ago.  If anyone knows about this program could you expand on its
capabilities?  I think this shouldn't be too difficult to do, and could be
very useful.
