Most Linux systems have a utility to do this. The name varies a bit from
version to version, though. Look for something like "fromdos" or "dos2unix"
(my Debian systems use both these names). It should, BTW, be half of a pair
of apps, the second (e.g., "todos" or "unix2dos")for adding in the \r's.
