Comment:

 What you are seeing is that some sites have mixed HTTPS/HTTP content. The
 UI is telling you that you are getting less security benefit on those
 pages:

 https://kittens.eff.org/https-everywhere/faq#mixed-content

 Sadly, this is almost always something that sites themselves need to fix.
