I did not check the path-spec.txt since I asked my question. And while I
was looking for a place to put it I saw a note in brackets.

I *should* have checked the path-spec before creating this ticket.

This enhances the path-spec just like I intended.
Sorry for the ticket (which I could have easily avoided).
