 Oh, why?  We could remove that dependency now if you want.  It just didn't
 happen, because nobody touched that code.  But it should be fine to take
 out.

 You're right.  Let's use a parent ticket for this.  Would you want to
 create one and possibly define other tickets as child tickets?
