Comment:

 Torbirdy 0.2.2 enforces stronger ciphers [Ticket
 20751](https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/20751). You could
 try to set encryption settings back to TLS1.0 (minimum in older versions
 of torbirdy).

 Thunderbird: Tools->Options->Advanced->Config
 Editor->security.tls.version.min->Value: 1 (instead 3)
