Comment:

 This is probably more of a user support request than a bug, but we will
 leave the discussion here for now in case this does turn out to be a bug.
 Here are some questions and suggestions:

 a) Has Tor Browser ever worked on that Mac? (It sounds like it worked when
 you first installed it.)

 b) Are there any tor.real processes running when everything is idle; that
 is, when you are not trying to open Tor Browser? (Use Activity Monitor to
 find out.) If you do find any tor.real processes, kill them and try to
 open Tor Browser again.

 c) Move your TorBrowser-Data directory to the trash (doing this will cause
 you to start over which means you will lose any bookmarks, etc. that you
 have created). The TorBrowser-Data directory will either be next to the
 application (next to TorBrowser.app) or in ~/Library/Application Support
 /TorBrowser-Data/.

 d) If you run Tor Browser from a Terminal window (shell prompt), you can
 see Tor Browser and tor startup messages which may help us debug the
 problem. To do that, open Terminal and type a command similar to the
 following:
  /Applications/TorBrowser.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox
 (if you did not place Tor Browser in /Applications, adjust the path as
 needed).
