 The solution I found was to uninstall a certain windows update that
 apparently blocked the firefox browser in some way. You could try using
 normal firefox (not with TOR) to access the internet just to see if you
 have got the same problem. In case the normal firefox browser does not
 work either check the windows update list / history of installed updates
 for KB2670838. I hope it works out for you.
