#12992: Atlas without Javascript?

I find it a bit odd that Tor places such an emphasis on the fact that
disabling JavaScript is safer, yet their own site, Atlas, needs JavaScript
to work properly.
Is there any way that Atlas could be made to work without JavaScript, or
is that impossible for some reason? I would prefer to use Atlas (and
everything else) without JavaScript if possible.
(If it is somehow impossible for Atlas to function according to its
purpose without JavaScript, please tell me why! I'm very curious about
it.)
