The DuckDuckGo usage of Disconnect is only temporary. Disconnect is
basically a meta search engine and you can use bing and yahoo (e.g.) with
it as well. Thus, there is no redundancy as far as I can see. And if you
are setting the security slider to high (which disables JavaScript)
Disconnect with DuckDuckGo is still working. Thus, this seems fine to me.
