Research questions**
1.Users interaction with Tor
2.How users rate their tech abilities
3.Online threat level
4.Age and gender classifications
**Methodology**
Data was collected during UX team visits to Uganda, Kenya and Colombia
this year
**Results**
1.Do you currently use any Tor related product? Can you select any of
them? How often do you use Tor?
The majority of users use Tor browser desktop in specific situations. A
small number of users do not know what tor means.
The number of users that use Tor daily is almost the same as those who use
it weekly.
2.Would you describe yourself mostly as a…?
The largest group of respondents admit to being a day to day
technologists.
The group above is followed closely by a fair percentage of technologists
with a good understanding of how the technology works and by technical
experts.
3.How much do you believe you need protection for your privacy and
security online?
Almost all respondents believe that they need protection.
However, some respondents did not answer perhaps because they did not
understand the question.
4.How old are you? I define my gender as…?
Majority of the respondents are males that lie between 20-40 years old.
Preference not to disclose gender appears only in very few respondents.
