 I noticed this several times: when underlying network interface is reset
 (down/up or 'netif restart'), vidalia shows that tor isn't running
 (crossed over icon). But tor itself recovers from network loss fine and
 keeps running in such case. Restart of vidalia brings it to connected
 state.

 Vidalia's connection to tor control socket shouldn't die when network goes
 down and up.
