 We can look into the possibility of closing or hiding the first window
 when the progress window is opened.  It is a little tricky because we need
 to keep a modal window open at all times to prevent the browser from
 starting up all the way before the Tor connection has been established
 (Firefox was not designed with Tor Launcher in mind).

 The progress window is a "child window" of the connect/configure window,
 but the appearance isn't ideal on all systems.
