Comment:

 Right.  We don't split cryptographic operations very effectively across
 multiple cores right now.  The operations that we *do* split across cores
 amount to only a fraction of all the work.

 The ticket to fix this is on #1749 .  In the meantime, the tor-relay list
 has some good advice on how to effectively use multiple-core machines.
