Comment:
folks, Phoul and I have been working on something just like this! I love
synergy!
ours started as a blog post but has quickly transformed into more of a
guide to supplement the relay stuff here:
https://www.torproject.org/docs/manual.html.en.
check out the draft (I have another copy in case anyone makes malicious
edits): https://pad.riseup.net/p/relay-ops-guide-backup
we've hit most of what nusenu outlined as important above (and I made a
couple of notes about the things that are missing).
our plan was to publish it on the wiki for now, then make a blog post
announcing it (the blog post is the first few paragraphs on that pad).
eventually, this content (and other relay operator resources) will be part
of community.torproject.org (as part of the website redesign)
I think we should still do that, with some slight tweaks:
- maybe the folks cced on this ticket can take a look at the draft that we
have and identify any points for improvement
- then we migrate the text over to the wiki page that irl created
- then we publish the blog post announcing it, letting folks know the plan
for community.tpo, and asking for feedback on the wiki text
- when the ux team starts building community.tpo, then we'll have our
relay operators' content ready to go, and we can kill the old incomplete
manuals
