Somebody (possibly nickm or arma) asked for it. I guess they didn't really
have a particular use in mind yet. Maybe, back at that time, statistics?

Ok. To close this thread of discussion: After IRC conversation with
karsten, it seems the two features 'statistics' and 'dump bridges' aren't
really meant to merge.
