 Two things:

 This bug probably also applies to the client-side, since `error_or_eof()`
 is also called by the client code. The next bundles should probably have
 `bug5072_v3` applied, since AFAIK it seems to work.

 Nick, do you see a reason for setting the read callback on a bufferevent
 that just has to flush its data and close?
