 Progress!

 I don't need TBB. I can run my Tor with an open control port, and then
 connect a Vidalia to it and it dies. Consistently. Now I can run my own
 Tor.

 But if I break on pt_prepare_proxy_list_for_config_read(), it won't die.
 Fun.
