Comment:

 I've talked to a debian developer and this doesn't make much sense if it
 is not used by a lot of people. Furthermore, once it is in Debian, it is
 there for a long time! so doesn't imply support but implies some
 responsibilities.

 Closing this for now as no near future plans.
