Comment (by lunar):

 Using a live system, I have installed ibus 1.5.4-1. I then restarted the
 desktop session by restarting lightdm. Still no input for the Tor Browser.

 I have then installed dbus 1.7.10-2. Restarted lightdm. I was then not
 able to re-open the desktop session.
