 I spoke to ln5 briefly today about the lastor paper -- in short, it has a
 lot of problems, mainly in the performance (their suggestions for better
 path selection are garbage, because they don't understand that Tor relays
 are bottlenecked by traffic) and anonymity analysis.

 For the anonymity analysis side, you'll probably be happier with Aaron's
 new paper:

 For AS-level analysis, also look at Micah's earlier paper:
