software to act as a Tor client. But ttdnsd is only useful for a client
configuration -- its main use is as a fallback DNS server for DNS requests
that Tor cannot handle, as part of a Tor transparent proxy configuration.
So, if ttdnsd is only useful for a client configuration, do we really need
it right now? We're only shipping bridge-by-default plugs to begin with,
and users can choose to set them up as relays if they want to.

NTP clients would, although it might not behave properly on a computer
with CPU frequency scaling.
Ok, guess we can add this to the list of software to package as well. Who
wants to give it a go?
