Comment:

 Ok, sounds good. I'm still a bit unsure about the double stacktrace (that
 part looks wrong), so feel free to reopen if there's an issue around that.
 The 'None' bit is just providing a default return value - just about every
 getter method on the Controller allows for one to let you do something
 more elegant than a try/catch.
