For -stable, I agree. But -alpha will get branches merged once they are
properly tested. The difference will be that the changes there may not be
definitive, more like: "here's a crazy feature that works, lets see what
the users think", and it may change, or may not and get merged to stable
with Matt's ok (although he doesn't think it would be necessary at that
stage).
