 When trying to run a unit test inside gdb on OS X, you get a nice cute
 "Program exited with code 055." message and nothing else from gdb. This is
 because we disable debuggers from attaching. I think that's silly to do
 for unit tests, and we should prevent it by default - especially because
 we don't have a way to pass a config file for the unit tests.
