 My mistake guys. I was looking only at torrc. torrc-defaults still has the
 ClientTransportPlugin lines.

 I am also able to get 50% into the bootstrap process a second time, but
 progress hangs at that point for much longer than I'd expect, but if I
 wait a couple minutes, it does eventually connect (though there is still
 that "Open settings" warning icon due to the warn log).

 If I click through the config dialog again as soon as the warning button
 appears, then it seems to work much more quickly.

 Perhaps we are looking at a pair of Tor bugs here, but different ones than
 I thought.
