 This is fantastic! I pushed that branch to master. Very exciting to see
 this in what looks like a shippable form to me! I think now all we have to
 do is add the svg pref, and we can call this 1.0 and close this bug!

 intregeri - there is also a pref for you:
 extensions.torbutton.show_slider_notification.

 Incidentally, the use of the "ribbon" term was my braindamage. I meant a
 notification box, just like this. I simply was unaware that notification
 box meant exactly this style of notification. After looking at the code,
 it's now clear that it does. Again, nice job, and sorry for the
 miscommunication.
