New description:

 I'm using FF 3.5.4 and have the Torbutton *addon* enabled on my
 installation. Usually, the Torbutton *itself* is disabled.

 Whenever I clear cookies in FF while Torbutton is disabled (but addon
 itself is enabled), FF seems to have cleared all cookies. If I go to the
 individually remove cookies panel, it's empty. However, as soon as I
 restart FF, *all* the previous cookies magically appear there again. I
 have been able to fix the issue by:

 1) Deleting cookies* files in the FF profile.
 2) Disabling the Torbutton addon altogether.
