 Great, we have a solution!

 I just pushed the commit that is tagged as `descriptor-1.5.0` to a new
 `release` branch in the official metrics-lib repository:
 https://gitweb.torproject.org/metrics-lib.git/.  I'm also going to push
 again to that branch after tagging the next release.

 hiro, would you want to look into creating Jenkins jobs `metrics-lib-
 master` and `metrics-lib-release` for building those two branches?
