Comment (by dcf):

 Depending on asciidoc is probably a good idea. As a workaround, just try
 doing the build again. The need to rebuild the man pages is triggered by
 file timestamps, and the build process makes a copy of the repo with fresh
 timestamps. Running the build a second time usually works for me.
