You probably hit the KVM check telling you something like

Most likely, this means you will need to use LXC.
Please run this in your shell before each build:
export USE_LXC=1
}}}
LXC mode is currently kind of highly experimental and kind of broken on
trunk. Your better bet is getting KVM running inside your VM.
