 I think it works smoothly if you're using microdescriptors (which is the
 default). In that case there's no conflict between the bridge descriptor
 and the relay microdescriptor, so no asserts trigger.

 But if you set UseMicrodescriptors 0 and then set a public relay as your
 bridge, I think you will still trigger an assert.

 And that isn't such a big deal these days, because a fine interim answer
 is "then don't do that".
