Using Windows 7, 64 bit
Just installed Torbrowser 8.0.3
I just upgraded from one of the version 7's. That one seemed to work
pretty well.
The new look of the version 8 takes some getting used to, but it does have
some bugs.
For one, it keeps hanging. I can't get anything done. The windows keep
"not responding".
Also, the torbutton blends too much, it's not green anymore, it was easier
to see before if you needed to change to a new circuit. Also, it does not
show the current circuit so you need to make a new circuit for a page, you
can't tell if it actually changed to a new circuit or not. I noted before
that there were times when trying to change to a new circuit, it would not
always give a new circuit, or I would keep getting the same entry or exit
nodes. Being able to see that would tell me which nodes to exclude in
torrc, so it would run better next time. So that was very useful, I
thought.
But regardless, it's useless to me right now because right from the start,
it just keeps hanging, the windows keep "not responding".
The version 7 worked much better by comparison, so I will have to be
switching back since this version 8.0.3 isn't working at all for me, I
can't get anything done.
Please advise when those bugs are fixed.
Thank you very much.
