Yes I just added the sid repo to the sources.list, so it also includes the
stable and unstable repos. Should I just try this with only the sid repo?

looks like you are using apktool 2.4.0, but buster is supposed to only
have 2.3.4, so I'm wondering if you used a mix of packages from buster and
sid or testing, which might be the cause of the error.
