I hope it's ok to post in reply to this comment. I have just downloaded
the most recent version from the Tor site - V 2.2.32-4. I'm running it on
XP and ff, and I'm having precisely the same problem as described in this
ticket. The Vidalia control panel loads, torbutton active, tor seems to
start and run fine based on the message log, but the Vidalia status bar
proceeds only 1 centimeter and it remains permanently on the "connecting"
status. No data is shown in the bandwidth graph and no activity on the
Network map - yet "check Tor" indicates I am connected through Tor.
Grateful for any help.
