directory mirrors?
Set "FetchDirInfoEarly 1" in the torrc for each Tor that should fetch that
way. This will not only cause them to ask the authorities directly, but
they'll also ask on the "dir mirror" schedule (i.e. within the hour after
the consensus is made) rather than the "client" schedule (within a few
hours). See directory_fetches_from_authorities() for the gory details.
>Then, it would also be useful if I can make my directory authority only
serve that information and not participate as circuit relays, just to
ensure it is as stable as possible for bootstrapping. Does this make sense
and is there a way to do this? (It wasn't obviously possible with the
current options listed in the Tor manual.)
There's no easy way to do it.
