Lucid has a git version that does not know this flag. It seems I tested
the change to git submodule with the commit precisely before the one
introducing this flag and therefore missed the breakage :( We plan to get
rid of Lucid as a requirement for Linux but that could take a bit (#15578
is the ticket).
