As I said the client is capable of connecting to the HS despite the
exclusion as long as it's 'fresh' (i.e., 'fresh' client meaning, the
client is excluding now, but it's been restarted relatively recently not
excluding). It's only when it's been excluding for several days that it
loses this ability. That's why I thought the problem was not just the
exclusion per se, but ''what'' due to the exclusion could have been added
(or now be effectively missing) from the client's cache (here meaning disk
cache - my uninformed assumption - but in fact as I can't look inside the
memory cache it could be that one as well).
