 Martin has confirmed that this is a correct C99-conformant behavior of
 mingw-w64, which automatically defaults to `__USE_MINGW_ANSI_STDIO` on
 crosses: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1577872#c7
