Possible design changes to improve hidden service performance

Hi list,

Christian Wilms and I have finished a document describing 7 possible
design changes to make the hidden service protocol faster. Some of those
ideas have implications on network load or anonymity which are mentioned
in that document, too. Our intention is to discuss these ideas here
until, say, beginning of August and write a proposal including the ideas
that have survived the discussion process until mid of August.

This report is part of the NLnet Project: Speed Up Tor Hidden Services
(https://www.torproject.org/projects/hidserv)

As always, comments are most welcome!
