Chuck,
Thank you for providing resources! It helps. When I first started my
mirror, is was about 45 days before I saw real traffic, so it might be
the same for you. There is no real recommendation for non peak hours
for updates. If you are using rsync, then the throughput will be
negligible on an update. As far as frequency goes, I would recommend
no longer than 36 hours (this is when we might start considering the
mirror out of date) and every 12-24 hours being optimal. There is a
cron you can use if your server is linux based. Let us know if you
need help setting that up.
I notice that we don't have ssl on your mirror yet... if you are using
a shared hosting provider I might be able to help you configure a self
signed certificate that you can use to enable SSL for all subdomains
(wildcard cert). Let me know and we can look into your situation.
I have recorded your mirror into the torproject.org website in rev.
19854. This should reflect on actual site shortly as the builds are
manually done.
Let us know if there is anything else we can do or help you with on
your mirror.
Best,
Jon
