It did also (just now) say the transport exited with code status 1.... I don't know what that means......

This message is saying that the ORPort is reachable from outside, but it doesn't
test for the obfs4 configured port. You can test it yourself if the port is
reachable using our reachability test:
https://bridges.torproject.org/scan/

Or directly configure the bridgeline in Tor Browser and see if it connects
correctly.
