Besides the tips others have shared with you, which are all very much
to the point and correct, I also suggest you to try using nyx, a
terminal-based status monitor for Tor relays. It has a very easy,
informative user interface that shows you, over the time, the usage
details of your relay -- Incoming/outgoing bandwidth (instantaneous
and over a lapse of time), flags your relay has got, system health
data, inbound/outbound connections, etc.
