Sorry for the slow response here. I'm trying to catch up on email from before my
break.
We're tracking this issue in
https://gitlab.torproject.org/tpo/core/tor/-/work_items/41300 -- I suspect we'll
fix it together with some of the upcoming changes we need to prepare for the 048
sunsetting in September.
I'll write out here on this thread once I have a patch that we are likely to
merge, so some folks can try it out on other operating systems than the ones I
usually test on :-)
