Re: [tor-relays] Inflated throughput measures from torproject metrics?
Dear Georg,
I don't understand that a ddos attack would affect bumping up the advertised bandwidth - or would it? My Aramis family advertised bandwidth seems to have leveled off 2 days ago, but not gone down to previous levels. I noted the total advertised bandwidth of the Quetzalcoatl family over the past few days, and it still seems to be going up:2,391 2,442 2,598 and now 2,754.
How the bwauths adjust the advertised bandwidth is a mystery to me. My impression is that after the first few months the advertised bandwidth will settle in and stay the same. Which is why this increase in advertised bandwidth starting Thursday seems so strange.
