[tor-relays] Re: How is this attack causing 900 Mbps download and 100 Mbps upload?

The issues you mentioned have been happening to me as well for nearly two months. More recently, based on my observations of these attacks, I found that the most effective workaround is to completely reboot the server before the relay receives the HSDir flag.
In my case, the attacks tended to begin after the relay had obtained the HSDir flag. For that reason, I now reboot the server before it reaches four days of uptime, and this has prevented the problem so far. Although the relay does not retain the HSDir flag under this approach, at least the server continues to provide service normally without experiencing these issues.
The last time the attack reached my server, the relay lost all of its flags. After rebooting, it also took several days for the Guard and Stable flags to return.
For now, my temporary workaround is therefore to reboot the server before it reaches four days of uptime.
