I am running Tor v0.2.1.9-alpha (r17777) on kernel 2.6.24-22-generic
(Ubuntu 8.04) and I noticed too that Tor stops suddenly (sporadic):

Please notice the entry just before the 'segfault' in the kern.log -
maybe its relevant ...?
